• NEXT EVENT - 15th June 2024

    KARUN'S KARTING CARNIVAL

  • WELCOME

    Hello Everyone!

I'm very excitied to confirm that we've got a date for this year's Karun's Karting Carnival : Saturday, the 15th of June 2024. It's a non-F1 weekend this time so hopefully we should have some paddock folks taking part.

Every year, teams from all across the UK participate to raise money for educating underprivileged children through our family run charity, The Vishnu Devananda Charitable Trust in India. This wil be our fourteenth consecutive year of running the event and the support over the years has been critical for the Trust to carry out their activities.

We've been lucky to have an oversubscribed list of entries for the past few years at Whilton Mill and I hope that 2024 will be no different.

We should have a great mix of fans and non-paddock folks racing alongside people from within the world of motorsport in order to have fun and raise money for charity. Scroll down for more information about the event itself.

You may enter as teams of three or four drivers: please email office@karunchandhok.com with the subject "Karun's Karting Carnival" to let us know your team name, driver's names, and contact information, and we will aim to confirm entries by the 1st of May at the latest.

We would love to have your friends and family come along as the cheering squad and Whilton Mill's cafe and restaurant will be open for business all day.

    Hope to see you there!

    Cheers,

    Karun

  • ABOUT THE VDCT

The Vishnu Devananda Charitable Trust (VDCT) is a Non-Profit Organisation established in 2003 by the parents of Indian racing driver Karun Chandhok. This Trust is based in the city of Chennai in South India.

The VDCT has been created to reach out to help the materially under-privileged and suffering people in our society and to establish practical and consistent support – both financially and materially – to create a better standard of living for them.

This trust has been supporting and sponsoring the education of children, supporting orphanages, old age homes, hospitals and daycare centres for the poor and destitute in and around Chennai.

The motto of the trust is simply stated as "Serve, love, give."

VDCT operates with a strong policy of keeping our patrons informed as to where their support is being utilised. To us, it is vitally important to ensure that the patrons feel connected with the people they are helping. We ensure that every student has a personal file with all of their educational records when supported by the Trust, as well as an open policy on receipts and accounts for all expenses to ensure complete accountability. Our patrons are of course welcome to visit India and meet the children for themselves and interact with the people who’s lives they’ve touched.
